Chloé Nomade – Trendy Response

It’s been a while since I mentioned a fragrance here, but this one definitely deserves an exclusive post – Nomade by Chloé.

The name pays homage to the more adventurous and exploratory side of the Chloé woman, also evident in its canteen-shaped bottle, reminiscent of one of the brand’s most iconic handbag models: the Drew bag.

Speaking of the fragrance itself, this Eau de Parfum is not the typical floral scent we’re used to from previous Chloé fragrances, but rather a scent with a somewhat masculine touch, reminiscent of the courage and boldness of an adventurous soul.

Categorized as a Floral Chypre, it features notes of:

top: Mirabelle plum, bergamot, orange, and lemon;

heart: freesia, rose, peach, and jasmine;

base: white musk, oakmoss, amber, sandalwood, and patchouli

I must admit I adore more masculine perfumes, but not the ones that are too intense. Still, this fragrance didn’t captivate me right away because at the time I preferred more intense scents.

Some time later, having started to lean towards “lighter” scents, I finally gave in and it has now become one of my go-to daily fragrances.

Describing this fragrance is quite challenging, especially because looking at the notes, one would tend to think of it as just another fresh citrusy fragrance for summer or a warmer and more enveloping scent because of the sandalwood and amber. Forget about that – the touch of freshness combined with the floral aspect is almost velvety with the base notes. An aroma that uniquely combines strength and delicacy.

Meanwhile, more versions have emerged, including Eau de Toilette or Absolu de Parfum; however, the “original” Eau de Parfum remains my favorite.
