Restaurant Lagoon – Elegant Response


Lagoon Restaurant Santa Maria da Feira
It’s been a while since I brought here a suggestion of a restaurant with good food to share conversations among friends.
I stumbled upon the Lagoon Restaurant by chance when I had to go for my second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine at Europarque in Santa Maria da Feira (the fact that it was in Santa Maria da Feira was because I chose it because it’s where I work).

Starters

Basket of starters 

 For starters, we immediately had a little basket waiting for us with bread (including a wonderful walnut bread), olives, butter, and pâté. We also chose shrimp in kataifi pastry with sweet and sour sauce, crunchy and delicious.

Main Course

Baked penne rigate with chicken and mushrooms

Black squid ink risotto with seared scallops flavored with lime zest

For the main course, we opted for risotto and penne. The Baked penne rigate with chicken and mushrooms ends up being a “safe” choice while the Black squid ink risotto with seared scallops flavored with lime zest has some different twists, with the fresh lime touch contrasting with the cheese flavor typical of risotto.

Desserts

For desserts, we opted for two different ones that we shared. Between the two, my favorite was the Strawberry mille-feuille with chantilly cream and strawberry pips, as it combines different flavors and textures that match perfectly.

The Lemon meringue tart with Granny Smith, although not as acidic as it seems, ends up being ideal for those who prefer flavors not as sweet as the mille-feuille.

In addition to this menu, which we are more accustomed to finding in a restaurant, there is also a space dedicated exclusively to Sushi. I haven’t had the opportunity to try it yet, but certainly on a return visit, I will give it a shot.
