Product: Lipikar AP+M in Eco-friendly Tube
When it comes to body care routines, I never skip using a moisturizer, especially after a shower. During summer, I tend to opt for oils, while in winter, I prefer creamy textures. Specifically, my legs tend to be the driest area, sometimes becoming quite uncomfortable.
That’s why it was the perfect time to start using the Lipikar AP+M balm from La Roche-Posay, which I already had at home.
This moisturizer is recommended not only for dry to very dry skin but also for skin prone to eczema, helping to soothe and relieve skin discomfort and rebalance its microbiome. In fact, for those who are not familiar with the brand, the Lipikar range from La Roche-Posay is dedicated mainly to dry to very dry skin with atopic tendencies and eczema. This fragrance-free body balm formula is suitable for the whole family, including children and babies from 3 months onwards.
- AP+M technology [Aqua Posae + Microresyl], a complex that helps rebalance the skin’s microbiome;
- shea butter, which helps regenerate and soothe the skin, rich in antioxidants (and according to the brand, it originates from a socially responsible supply program in Burkina Faso);
- glycerin, a moisturizer that helps restore the skin barrier and reduce irritations;
- niacinamide, which aids in ceramide synthesis for a more resilient skin barrier, soothing and preventing skin discomfort;
Below, for those curious, you can find all the ingredients of this balm:
Despite the name balm and its “thick” texture, it is surprisingly easy to spread and apply at first impression. The skin immediately feels more comfortable and soft, and it maintains that smooth feeling even the next day, you know?
The eco-tube version has the same original formula, just packaged in a more sustainable container (according to the brand, it has -45% plastic in its packaging). I’m not particularly fond of the packaging, as when it starts to get “emptier,” it tends to “crack,” making it a bit challenging to dispense the product since the tube offers some resistance. Nonetheless, it’s interesting to see how brands are repositioning themselves in the market to have more eco-friendly formulas, especially since the final consumer is increasingly preferring this stance.
